Phishing Emails Look Real Now. Here’s What to Check

Remember when scam emails were easy to spot? Bad spelling, weird logos, and obvious fakes. Well, that’s over.

Today’s phishing emails look exactly like they come from your bank or a vendor you actually use. They might even use the right invoice numbers. So how do you catch them?

Don’t look at the logo. Look at the sender’s actual email address. If it says “Microsoft Support” but the email is “support@microsoft-update-123.com”, it’s a fake. Also, if an email creates a sudden sense of panic—like telling you your account will be deleted in 24 hours—take a breath. That’s a classic trick to make you click without thinking. Just call the company directly to check.
